Any excuse for a chocolate post

I have to say, I think Tesco have done a really good job with their recent revamp of their Finest product range.

As well as new recipes, they have updated all the packaging, with a lot of it featuring some seriously beautiful typography and some very tactile and lovely substrates. One of my personal faves is the chocolate range, as designed by Parker Williams, which features beautiful individual illustrations as the background to each pack.

I’ve also spotted some rather lovely ads floating around, like this one for hand harvested sea salt. It’s simple, tells a story and plays cleverly to the increasing importance of food prominence and the rise of the local food movement.

Sainsbury’s, it’s time to up your game.
